Family Friends of Scouting
Our Annual Operating Fundraiser to Support Scouting in Our Community
WHAT IS FAMILY FRIENDS OF SCOUTING?
Our strongest supporters are often those who know Scouting first-hand. Each year, we coordinate Friends of Scouting presentations at Pack, Troop, and Crew gatherings to ask Scouting families for their support. Presentations are made by Scouting volunteers and usually last 5 minutes in late Winter or early Spring. A Friends of Scouting presentation is an opportunity for our families and friends to pledge their contribution towards a better Scouting future.
WHEN IS MY PRESENTATION?
Each Pack, Troop, or Crews schedule their presentation at a different time of the year, but most often it happens at the Blue and Gold Banquet for Packs or Winter Court of Honor for Troops and Crews. Contact your Committee Chair to find out when your presentation is coming!
Can my employer help support scouting?
Yes, they can! Many employers want to be involved and support their employees' interests. Some employers match donations and others offer grants that pay for your volunteer hours! Check out our matching gift search page in the related pages or contact your companies Human Resources department to see if your company participates.
HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
There are several ways to get involved in the Family Friends of Scouting campaign. If you have a passion for Scouting and are comfortable in front of crowds, become a presenter! If that is not your style, contact your Committee Chair to get involved in your Unit or the Community Relations Executive to get involved with the Mustang District Campaign!
